On 1st November, Vice Director of School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) Admission Office, Kristin Nason, arrived at IFC for her annual visit. She was warmly welcomed by Director Huang Li and International Academic Director Tony Brown.
SAIC, one of the most renowned art colleges in the US, was established in 1866. An excellent partnership, IFC and SAIC have been cooperating with each other since 2010. IFC has sent nearly 20 students to SAIC in the past 3 years, among them many SAIC scholarships winners.
After a short meeting with Director Huang Li and Mr. Brown, Ms. Nason gave IFC students a lecture which emphasized SAIC’s high-quality teaching and learning by showing a large quantity of SAIC student work. Ms. Nason highlighted SAIC’s interdisciplinary teaching and learning, pointing out that students will need to study humanistic courses in conjunction with their professional curricula. After Ms. Nason’s introduction, IFC students showed keen interest in SAIC and expressed their intention of attending the SAIC introduction meeting at the Hilton Hotel the next day.
