Professor Gerda Roper, Dean of Art and Media Academy at Teesside University, accompanied by Paul Denison,Principal Lecturer of Art and Media Academy and Mr. Hou Liang, manager of its Chinese office, visited CAFAIFC on the morning of April 29th. As a result of their interest in CAFAIFC, this is the third visit by delegates of Teesside University who hope to cooperate with us in the future. Despite her rather short visit to China, Professor Gerda found time in her hectic schedule to visit IFC, making her sincerity clear to Huang Li, Director of IFC and Tony Brown, Academic Director of IFC. Although impressed by the high teaching levels at IFC, delegates felt quite sorry they were unable to attend the external review or communicate directly with students due to time constraints. Huang Li and Tony warmly invited them to join next year’s graduation review and said they looked forward to a workshop sponsored by Teesside University aimed at enhancing academic communication. Fortunately, Professor Gerda, had time for a guided tour of the 2013-14 Graduation Exhibition of IFC by Director Huang and Tony. Marveling at the inspiration and creativity of the art works, Professor Gerda again congratulated IFC for their quality. In the not too distant future, the two sides will explore ways to deepen cooperation in order to provide a better education for students of IFC.
