To enhance academic openness and intercollegiate exchange, CAFAIFC invites professionals and faculty members from its partner institutions to give an external assessment of its Graduation Exhibition each year. External review is an integral part of IFC’s evaluation system.
This year’s external review ran from April 24th to April 25th. The committee consisted of Douglas MacLennan from Northumbria University, Professor Jiang Jiehong from Birmingham Institute of Art and Design, and three artists and designers from Beijing. According to the evaluation principles, the judges assessed student work in pairs. Students introduced their works and portfolios to the judges who graciously enlightened them with many helpful suggestions.
After the review, a detailed discussion was held between the committee and IFC academic leaders where all judges spoke highly of the students’ artistic and English ability.
