I was inspired by a famous quote from Shakespeare who argued that we are all just actors in a play, suggesting that life is like a play in which we have little control over the roles we play. With this as my inspiration, I imagined a stage design that redesigned a train in regular operation to accommodate a play that represented a regular life cycle from birth to death and the different stages in between. The reason for choosing a train and a station to express this is that birth is the beginning of life and death is the end, like a train going from the starting station to the end station. But we have different lives, just like the train will have different routes, but it will definitely lead to a set ending, like a written script. There will be five carriages in total, representing the different ages of a person. The windows on the right side of the carriage show scenes that are possible for this age group , while the left side shows your everyday events. Each carriage will be transformed according basic color codes and typical elements defined by characteristic we can connect in each period of human life. 1-Birth (Blue and Yellow+Soft), 2-Childhood (Colorful Toys & Candies), 3-Youth (Pink & Blue+ Exams & Love letters) 4-Adulthood (deep Purple+ Office), 5-Death (Black background + starry Sky) To develop my train as stage design I used conceptual collages and a physical model and finally used Unreal Engine 5 to render some moving images of the platform where the play starts. The audience in my play will be actors interacting with the professional actors that will allow the visitors to move and act at their will during the time they ride in the train of life.
