WHAT IF A PAPERCLIP COULD BECOME A HOUSE?
I was inspired by a barter story. A man used one paperclip to make a trade and finally got a house. It appears that they had different and contrasting values, but actually their values were equal in terms of their inner desire. Therefore, each exchange was achieved by different attitudes and emotional feelings. In this process, people not only made the exchange between objects and objects, but also objects and spiritual desires. From paperclip to house, it seems unbelievable, but actually it’s driven by a series of daily , genuine feelings. I made six coins which correspond to different meanings in each exchange in the story: curiosity, complement, communication, measure, collection and experience. In today’s digital era, exchange is convenient and efficient. But behind these numbers , we could explore more possibilities in exchange.
