My works mainly use the two elements of time and space to show the four-dimensional space. I accidentally learned about the dark restaurant, so I put on the blindfold and experienced being blind for a day. I found that they had a stronger perception of the surrounding environment than normal people and could feel the changes in the surrounding environment better. In addition, I also found that blind people have a weak concept of time and are more likely to be immersed in what they are doing. When I did the blind experience, it took me more than an hour to do just a few things that would have taken me ten minutes to do when I was able to see. I hope that my work will inspire viewers to understand reality differently, to re-examine the small changes in our surroundings, the nature of reality, and the potential existence of invisible dimensions. When I was thinking about how to express my sense of my surroundings, I thought about point cloud scanning. It expresses this feeling well, clearly visible from a distance, but as you get closer, it shifts first from dense to thin and then to nothing. Just as we don’t pay much attention to the minute details of our surroundings, we tend to look at the general surface of our surroundings. I use a point cloud to scan the same scene in different times and spaces, which represents the life, working, eating, sleeping, and praying of most people, so that the audience can understand the subtle changes happening around them in their daily life, such as the position of the computer will not coincide with the last time. Finally, these models scanned from different times and spaces are combined and 3D printed for display.
