About the theme "What if", I created a 27cm x 18cm picture book to tell an abstract story about the possibility of "What if the day and night can be cut like fabric" to appeal people to protect the environment.
The book is expressed with syringe pens, using different materials of white and black paper for day and night respectively, and showing different forms with different textures.
The story is presented from the point of view of a cat jumping out of a window, traveling through different villages and witnessing people using special scissors to cut day and night due to their selfish desires, thus disturbing the balance of time.
During this period, a village migrated to a place where day and night were balanced because they have cut out the night, but they started to harvest greedily again in new place after settling down.
When all the world's day and night are stripped off, the empty sky could not hang stars, then ushered in the doomsday.
The ending ended with the cat jumping back to the original window, where people from different villages gathered indoors, talking about how to sell the special scissors and make money by cutting day and night.
The stability of the interior scene was contrasted with the hustle and bustle of the exterior surroundings. Window was a barrier to the vacuum, while the terror of the outside world came from the silent plotters, it showed a metaphor that people were pushing themselves to the edge of the cliff.
