“重组”这个主题让我想到了塑料这一材质。塑料很难回收，所以我想到了HDPE材质的废物再利用。我喜欢的设计师Oki Sato为Fritz Hansen设计的可循环使用的椅子给予了我灵感。我将废弃的一次性塑料瓶盖（HDPE）的材料进行重组再创作，借此向人们宣传废物再利用的环保理念。 我首先把收集的许多塑料瓶盖洗净自然晾干，再用刻刀和剪刀把所有瓶盖剪成较小的碎片，然后在煎烤机里垫上油纸利用高温将瓶盖碎片融化，直至碎片间融为一体。融化后的HDPE用表面平整的重物压的方式使其双面压平，并在冷却之后通过切割得到想要的形状再进行组合，例如我的作品杯子，就是由融化的部分切割成不同大小的圆形和矩形，用热风枪将其部分软化，边缘溶解粘合在一起，从而形成一个完整的物品。为了让人们更好地利用HDPE材质制作环保物品，我用激光切割的方式制作了杯子的平面模具，使所有人都可以简单操作。

The theme of this graduation project was REUNITED. Plastic waste is difficult to recycle so I had in mind the reuse of HDPE plastic. I was inspired by my favorite designer, Oki Sato, who designed a recyclable chair for Fritz Hansen. I took the disposable plastic bottle caps made of HDPE and refurbished it, thus promoting the idea of recycling. The bottle caps were washed and dried, then cut into smaller pieces with a carving knife and scissors. I then melted the pieces in a pancake maker with baking paper until they were fused together. The melted HDPE is then flattened on both sides by pressing it with a heavy object using a flat surface. After it has cooled down it is cut to get the desired shape before being assembled. My cup for example, was cut from melted parts into different sized circles and rectangles, and then partially softened with a heat gun to be bent. Its edges dissolved and glued together to form a complete object. In order to make better use of HDPE material and make environmentally friendly items, I used laser cuts to make DIY cup moulds, so making it simple for all to recycle and create their own designs.
