“重组”让我联想到了水分子电解和重组的可逆化学方程式。通过对水和水循环的调研,我构思出了我的作品,即将植物与加湿器结合,利用加湿器的雾化对植物进行栽培,起到净化空气,减轻眼疲劳,舒缓紧张、排除压力的作用。我选用亚克力、硅胶软管、USB加湿器和绿箩完成了作品。我最喜欢的艺术家Oki Sato的线迹设计给了我创作灵感。在制作作品外形的时候,我考虑了多种形态的缠绕方式。选用亚克力是因为它的透明材质和不弯曲的硬度,不仅保证了美观同时起到支撑作用。同时,我希望激光切割这种工艺能够启发更多人DIY,以一种教学的方式促进环保。

“REUNITED” is the key word of this project, my inspiration came from the reversible chemical equation of electrolysis and recombination of water molecules. My research in the water cycle led me to conceive my work. I combined a plant and humidifier and wanted to use of water atomization in plant cultivation to play a role in air purification. Because the green plant can relax the eyes, this device is intending to contribute to the the reduction of eye fatigue, and to the relief of tension and pressure. I used acrylic, silicone hose, USB humidifier and used Scindapus Aureus to complete the whole design. My favorite artist is Oki Sato and was inspired through his line design. When I made the shape, I considered various forms of weaving. I chose acrylic because of its transparent material and ‘non-bending’ hardness, which not only ensures its beauty, but also plays a supporting role. You can also use this laser cut design to make the object yourself in the idea of DIY design, to promote natural environment in a pedagogical way.
