“REUNITED”这个项目的灵感来自于电影《魔镜》。这部电影聚焦于女性问题，讲述了一个女孩对自己的外表缺乏自信，通过整容和化妆让自己成为别人眼中的“明星”的故事。但在内心深处，这女孩对自己缺乏信心。 通过对这个问题的思考，我决定用我的作品来说明，每个人都是独一无二的，最美丽的事情是正视自己的不完美。通过研究，我发现了很多人对于肤色的关注和由此所产生的问题。为了表现出人类皮肤自然色调的差异和自身的独特性和美感，我使用了三种不同类型的天然染料，应用在不同材质的面料上。经过我对大自然之美的研究，我用花草的叶子和玫瑰花作为天然丝织品染色，使其具有独特而自然的图案和颜色。我用褶皱来表达了限制面料自由的理念，并使用线和绳子来固定木框周围的面料。在这些实验的基础上，我还部分保留了PU面料和热压机结合所形成的纹理，并将其制成成衣。最终的成品反映了我希望呈现的“自由和限制”的关系的理念。

My inspiration for this project named “Reunited” came from the movie The Magic Mirror. It tells the story of a girl who is insecure about her appearance and uses plastic surgery and makeup to make her a "star" in the eyes of others. But deep down, the girl is unsure of herself. Thinking about this issue, I decided to make a statement with my work that everyone is unique and the most beautiful thing is to face up to one's own imperfections. Also through my research, I found a lot of concerns and issues about perception of natural skin color. In order to show the difference of natural hues of human skin in their own uniqueness and beauty, I use three different types of natural dyes and apply them to different quality of fabric for different lengths of time. Following my research about beauty in nature I dyed natural silk fabric with flowers and plants’ leaves that provided unique patterns and color with no damage to nature. I use the idea of limitation within social expectation and standards on beauty, and apply this through several experiments such as gathering, as its follows the idea of manipulating the freedom of the fabric and uses strings and yarns to manipulate fabric around wooden frames. Following these experiments, I partly preserved the texture of gathering within PU fabric and heat transfer machine, and apply to a shape that follows the human body to develop my final work. My 2D final presentation reflects the idea of playing with freedom and restriction.
