My animations show the absurd stories of neighbors who loathe each other in real life but admire each other in the virtual world. As technology changes the way people communicate, it also inevitably affects human relationships. Virtual platforms carry more and more functions, and it gradually becomes an inseparable part of real life. Seeking a sense of identity and belonging on social media has also become a way to anchor the spirit of today's people. It is not only young people who are strongly addicted to mobile phones and social media, but also empty nesters. In the story, the main character is an old woman with a hoarding habit who lives in a house full of garbage with her dog. Her terrible and eccentric habits make it hard for her to be accepted in reality, yet on the virtual pet platform she and her dog reap the attention and appreciation of her online friends, which makes her feel a long-lost warmth. But the illusion brought by the media can never replace the real one. The online friends who often interact with the old woman in the social network are actually the neighbors who hate each other……
