My project shows the daily life between a single mother and her daughter, depicting multiple contradictions of misunderstanding and ineffective communication, as well as interdependence on each other, which are common between relatives. The description of the relationship between mother and daughter in the film is inspired by my favorite film, An Elephant Sitting Still which is a powerful expression of the petty and violent moments in intimate relationships. I also use metaphor in my own works. For example, the colorful balloon in the film symbolizes the life the daughter yearns for. It is colorful, light and joyful. While the reality is clouded in gray tones, misunderstanding caused by love between loved ones is ironical. However, in the end I leave a hint for the audience, did the real misfortune ever happen? In the moment the alarm rings again, will the protagonist have the power to change, or just follow the life of the past...
