From my point of view, Restart is the renovation of old things, not only the renovation and reconstruction, but also the integration of new elements. This final project I also wanted to Re-start my approach to spatial design, not designing a stage again but challenge myself to develop a spatial art installation. For my project itself, the transformation from stage to building is also a kind of experience of restart. For restart, I want to interpret it as a new challenge.

Set within the context of stone masonry originally erected in the 11th century, blue strings stretch across the courtyard to connect the arches together. Rounded arches are blended with pointed ones, to create a sense of transition from whichever way one walks through the installation. In order to understand from see the unusual state from different perspectives, I investigated the geo cocktail table designed by designer Vito Selma, it's also a very attractive project.

This is the transform of this old courtyard building. I link stone masonry originally erected in the 11th century’s background. Using the most basic points, lines, surfaces and spaces, and added the arched building to present an unusual state. I want to express an usual state for an old building making it more contemporary and alive, using art installation is a way of making people aware of the space they use. I was promoted according to the geo cocktail table, many points form lines, lines form surfaces, and surfaces form different spaces. I connect the two ends with lines, it generate curved surfaces. The interval of every link is the same, looking down at this building is very simple. However, we can see different states from different perspectives, which also echoes the idea of making the old building more dynamic and competitive.
