我常常为艺术到底是什么而感到迷茫,因为这个世界有太多的艺术形式,因此我在迷茫中前行,在试错中成长。这个课题我决定“重启”我过去的一个项目。它是一本我尝试做成装置的书,我将它进行再创作和再发展,从而试图使它达到新的高度。

书长约26.5cm,宽约21.4cm,高约1.3cm,是一本阐述超现实主义的书籍。我会根据我随意翻开的两页时脑海里所闪现的画面和想法,再加上自己的想象力,绘出新的画面,它们有的荒谬,有的抽象,有的趣味十足,有的暗含深意,不同的观者有不同的感受,等待他们去探寻。对我而言,我所做的是对我想象力的挑战和与艺术家的一次奇特交流,一个无名之辈与艺术家的奇妙交流,我很喜欢这种感觉,以此表达对艺术的憧憬和追求。材料方面我使用了丙烯颜料和水粉颜料,两种颜料所表达出的效果有所不同,给人感受也会不同,让观者自己去体会。

重新阐释便是这次课题的核心,这些超现实主义艺术家的画作也许我并不能感受到它们的真正含义,但我会根据我对这些画的理解以及我离谱的想象力对它们进行再创作,这是一个有趣的过程,在这个过程中我甚至会害怕,害怕原作的主人会生气如果他知道我做了什么的话,我也会感到兴奋,对自己新创作出来的作品感到兴奋。总而言之这是一次跨越时空,跨越精神层次,跨越国界的神奇对话,也是我的一次大胆尝试,以此表达我对前辈艺术家最崇高的敬意。

As an art student I often feel confused about what art is. There are so many art forms in the world. That's why I move forward in confusion and by trial and error. This work is one of my books that I have tried to “restart”. By using reproductions of the works I tried to establish a dialogue with all these artists.

About 26.5 cm long, 21.4 cm wide and 1.3 cm thick, it is a book about surrealism. I painted compositions according to the images and ideas that came to my mind when I opened randomly the double pages of my book. Some proposals are absurd, others are abstract and others try to create a deep relationship with the images in the book. I would like the viewer who is going to go through this book to experience different feelings according to the various double pages. For me, what I do is a challenge to my imagination and a dialogue with the surrealists. A fantastic conversation between an unknown person and great artists recognized by the history of art. I like this feeling very much. To continue, to Restart, creating again with the help of other artists, as if they were my companions. In terms of materials, I used acrylic pigment and gouache pigment. Reinterpretation is at the core of the process. I may not know the meaning of all the work, but I make my propositions according to my understanding. I do what I can.

It was an interesting process. I was even afraid of what the author of the original works might think. Would he be angry if he knew what I'd done? For my part I felt a certain excitement in making these new works. In short, it's a magical dialogue through time and space. A spiritual dialogue that crosses borders. It's also a bold attempt on my part to express my deepest respect for great artists from the past.
