The topic ReTurn, guides me to create my graduation project name “Folding Memory”. This work is about the memories from my family and myself, and my main elements came from some digital games I played like Tetris and Puzzles. Reflecting my main three key words: Memories, Playfulness and Childhood. I found some family photos from the past. I realised from them that I was always surrounded by nature and flowers when I was a kid. Later I found scientific article about how smells connecting to our memories and linked to our brain. To develop this idea I tried to work on digital software Nomad to create a shape of flowers to tribute the flourishing and blossoming time of my childhood of being surrounded by my family. But I realised that lack of tactile contact with my work does not have a strong connecting to my concept. I develop the idea of Playfulness by link with games I used to play when I was a kid like Tetris and Puzzles. I transformed my old photos by Adobe PS with puzzle effect to reshape images that make them look like a puzzles of our memories. Mark Rothko and Maya Ruznic inspired me for a colour changes and simplification of style drawing like what memories could be visually represented: unclear, faded and become even more abstract shapes by time. Follow of playful and funny effect that reach my childhood memories and attitude of being child I created my final work by explore folding techniques that I was inspired of Antonio Bernardo and Lygia Clark art work and develop the verity of design propositions that could be transformed to the jewellery.
